Everything to Know About the Bed Bath and Beyond Credit Card

Bed Bath and Beyond is a one-stop shop for everything you could need to outfit your home. Like its name implies, the store chain is stocked with bedding and bathroom essentials, as well as furniture, outdoor décor, dining room items, curtains and window treatments, luggage, and more.

The store’s a nice option for whenever you need to stock up on new sheets or towels, or you’re looking for a new piece of furniture. Frequent shoppers, or those who plan to make big purchases (like new homeowners), may be wondering how to save at the store.

Bed Bath and Beyond offers two credit card options that provide extra points for purchases, which can be redeemed for store cash. Here’s how a Bed Bath and Beyond credit card works, so you can decide if it’s a good choice for you.

First: can you get rewards without a Bed Bath and Beyond credit card?

First things first: all Bed Bath and Beyond customers have the opportunity to join the store’s free Welcome Rewards program. The program also applies to the stores buybuy BABY and harmon. With the Welcome Rewards program, members get:

  • 10 points for every $1 spent – every 5,000 points earns $5 in rewards
  • Free standard shipping on every order for the first 7 days, no minimum purchase required
  • Birthday rewards
  • Member bonus days, surprise events, exclusive products, and news

Beyond that, there’s the Welcome Rewards+ program. It costs $29 a year to be a member and features the following perks:

  • 20% off every purchase
  • Free same-day delivery four times per year
  • Free standard shipping on every order, no minimum purchase required
  • 50 points for every $1 spent – every 5,000 points earns $5 in rewards
  • Mobile checkout to skip the line
  • Member bonus days, surprise events, exclusive products, and news

When you enroll in the Welcome Rewards+ program, you’ll also instantly get a $10 reward. If you’re making a big purchase and you want to join the rewards program, you might want to join the Welcome Rewards+ program to get immediate savings. You can always cancel your membership before it renews and you’re charged again.

In addition to those non-credit card rewards programs, a Bed Bath and Beyond credit card could potentially earn you even more.

Two options: Bed Bath and Beyond store credit card and Mastercard®

Now on to the Bed Bath and Beyond credit cards. First, there’s the Welcome Rewards store Credit Card, which rewards members exclusively for purchases at Bed Bath and Beyond, buybuy BABY, and harmon. The Welcome Rewards Mastercard® Credit Card does the same, in addition to rewarding members for non-brand purchases, at places like grocery stores, gas stations, and everywhere else you make a purchase.

Sometimes, getting either credit card through the Bed Bath and Beyond website will come with an offer for a free 1-year membership to the Welcome Rewards+ program. Typically, each card offers 60 points per $1 spent, but when you’re also a part of the Welcome Rewards+ program, you’ll get 100 points for every $1 spent.

Each card requires no annual fee. With the Welcome Rewards Mastercard® Credit Card, you’ll get 20 points for every $1 spent at gas stations and grocery stores, and 10 points for every $1 spent everywhere else. Like the rewards programs, you’ll earn $5 for every 5,000 points.

Both cards also offer financing perks. These include:

  • 6 months special financing when you spend $250 to $499.99 with either credit card at Bed Bath and Beyond and the family of brands
  • 12 months special financing when you spend $500-$1,499.99 with the Welcome Rewards Store credit card at Bed Bath and Beyond and the family of brands
  • 12 months special financing when you spend $500 or more with the Welcome Rewards Mastercard® at Bed Bath and Beyond and the family of brands

The Welcome Rewards Mastercard® also offers special activation bonuses. You can get a $25 activation bonus when you open a Welcome Rewards Mastercard® and spend $1,000 in the first 6 months. You can get a $75 activation bonus when you spend $6,000 in the first 6 months.

Other Bed Bath and Beyond credit card details

The Bed Bath and Beyond credit cards are offered by Comenity Capital Bank, which is where you’ll manage your Bed Bath and Beyond credit card login and your Bed Bath and Beyond credit card payment. You can also find Bed Bath and Beyond credit customer service through the bank.

The Bed Bath and Beyond credit card APR rates are variable, which means they’re determined by factors like credit score. They may range between 16.99% to 26.99%. Depending on the applicant’s credit score, they may be able to get slightly worse or slightly better APR terms with a Bed Bath and Beyond credit card compared to other credit cards. But as long as you make payments in full, on time, you won’t have to worry about paying interest anyway.

Is a Bed Bath and Beyond credit card worth it?

Even if you’re a frequent shopper of the brand, you may be better off with a no-annual-fee cash rewards credit card. Some offer better welcome bonuses and higher cash rewards, with more shopping locations available. It may be helpful to compare your options based on your shopping habits to find the best fit.

In some cases, you may be able to get big cash rewards with a Bed Bath and Beyond credit card. For example, if you’re completely outfitting a new home with Bed Bath and Beyond products, and you’re purchasing most of your items within 6 months, a Bed Bath and Beyond Welcome Rewards Mastercard® combined with the Welcome Rewards+ program can earn you cash back in activation bonuses and save you at least 20% on your purchase. But if you’re looking to save in general, there may be better cash-back credit card options.
